Simmer Pot/Potpourri

Ingredients & Items needed:

  • Bay leaves, rosemary sprigs, pine cuttings
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Whole Spices: cinnamon sticks and whole cloves and star anise
  • Sliced & dried Navel oranges, lemons, limes, or grapefruit cut to fit bag
  • Attractive, clear plastic bag or 16″ pastry bags.
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Label with instructions

Directions:

Buy spices in bulk to keep cost down. Select a combination of scents that appeal to you. Assemble in the bag with small items first. Slip the label inside. Tie/close the top. Add ribbon or twine.

To price the item:

Add the cost of the ingredients. Multiply by 4. Divide by the number of units to give you the suggested sale price. Add a label with the price.

Instructions for label:

Empty contents into a heat proof container. Add water. Leave on stove or other heat source. Add water as needed. Can be used in a crock pot. Compost remains when no longer useful.
